My first ever series on this blog followed the adventures of Gianluigi Lucarelli as he took charge of his hometown side, A.S. Livorno. It’s written in a mixed style of fiction and analysis, with all the typical errors of a rookie blogger. However, it was cut short, the reasons for which I’ve explored in this post.
After that, I started the save that originally named this blog, and which eventually became The South American Journeyman. What started as a challenge to start from the rock bottom (see?) of the Argentinian football pyramid and eventually winning the Copa Libertadores, had to be dropped due to some database issues and restarted a regular journeyman save through the continent. It developed into my all-time favourite save, and one that got me in contact with fantastic people across three countries.
